You can murder each member of your family (emoji) courtesy of Google
If you hate emoji, there’s an interesting way to safely take out your rage on them, thanks to Google.
Twitter user Brooke Watson uncovered something very funny while working in Google Slides.
Tweet may have been deleted
“Just learned with horror that deleting any of the 'family' emojis in google slides does not remove the emoji,” she says. “But rather kills off each individual family member one by one, starting with the children.”
If you insert a family emoji -- that’s dad, mom, and two kids -- in Google Slides and hit backspace, it won’t remove the emoji as it would any other character. It just kills off one of the kids and replaces the family of four with a family of three emoji!
Hit backspace on that one and your family emoji will be replaced with two emoji, one man and one woman...a life before kids for the family emoji's mom and dad.
From there, you can hit backspace to remove the woman emoji, thus making the man emoji a bachelor once again. Then, just like any other character, you can hit backspace and remove him too. Finally, four backspaces later, no more emoji!
You can see the example in her tweet above. I’ve tested it out. It’s real. It works in Google Docs, too!
Now, go out and enjoy time with your family. Then take out any outside stress you're dealing with on the family emoji in Google Docs/Slides. That's one way to keep the peace.
